History

If you were to compile a "Who's Who" of Greater Richmond's residential building and development industry, it would comprise the membership of the Home Building Association of Richmond (HBAR).

For its hundreds of member firms, HBAR is much more than just a trade organization.

This non-profit group, founded in 1946, is a powerful voice for the residential construction industry in the legislative, regulatory and political arenas. HBAR also offers Builder, Developer and Associate members information, activities and services that will contribute to their business and personal success.

Because HBAR is such a visible force in the communities where members live and work, it has enhanced the image of its members as the concerned, involved citizens they truly are.
