In 1984, Ed & Catherine Lane opened the doors of their remodeling company. Lane Homes & Remodeling was started by a different name, Standard Additions of Virginia. The company quickly became known for quality craftsmanship and high integrity. In 1994, we changed our name to Lane Homes & Remodeling, Inc. This was to keep with long-term plans to expand our remodeling services. With the new name came a new location. We moved into an office building at 12536 Patterson Ave. The office is next to the West Creek Complex in Goochland. In 1997, Edward, Ed & Catherine’s son, earned a B.S. in Business Management. He then joined the management staff and now serves as President of the company. Edward is responsible for the day-to-day management of Lane Homes & Remodeling.
